The Ant Laboratory app has no accounts, advertising, or developer-added analytics. Colonies and settings are stored on your device. Support messages and website requests are described separately below.

This policy covers the Ant Laboratory app for iPhone and iPad and this website. Both are made by the developer of Ant Laboratory.

The app

What stays on your device

The app keeps your colonies and your settings on your iPhone or iPad: in the app's own storage, and as files in the app's private folder. It uses them only to run the game. Like the rest of your device, they are included in your iCloud Backup or computer backup if you use one; Apple handles those backups under its own privacy policy.

What the app does not do

It does not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details, and it has no accounts.
It does not show ads, and it contains no analytics, tracking or advertising code.
The simulation runs on your device and is packaged for offline play. It does not upload your colonies to the developer. Exporting files or opening external links is an action you choose.
It does not ask for access to your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.

Files you export

When you export a colony or the Lab's data, the app hands the file to the share sheet, and it goes only where you choose to send it. You can visit this website for support and privacy information.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to send, such as an exported colony. We use support messages to reply and investigate problems. Our email service processes these messages to deliver and store them. Avoid sending passwords or other sensitive information, and contact us if you would like a support message deleted.

This website

The website code does not add advertising, analytics, cookies, or browser storage. Fonts and images are served with the site. Hosting and infrastructure providers receive technical information needed to handle visits, such as IP addresses, browser information, and requested pages, and may process operational and security logs under their own policies. External research and App Store links take you to services with their own privacy practices.

Children

Ant Laboratory is suitable for a general audience. The app does not request personal details from players, including children.

If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
